Avesta16L SKR 3 MIG Weld Wire is a solid stainless‑steel filler from Avesta (voestalpine Böhler Welding) designed for GMAW of austenitic stainless steels, most notably 316L. As an 316L/SKR‑type wire, it delivers corrosion‑resistant welds appropriate for piping and process equipment where austenitic stainless properties are required. Avesta’s welding guidance notes that 316L/SKR wires are suitable for welding in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical up, overhead) and can use shielding gas options including Argon with 2% oxygen or 2–3% CO2, with typical gas flow around 12–16 L/min.
