Industrial BC10022A Heater Band by Big Chief (The Heater Leader) is a ceramic band heater designed to wrap around cylindrical surfaces to deliver uniform heat for plastics processing and other equipment that heat cylindrical contours. It features a serrated sheath for flexible mounting and easy installation, and ceramic fiber insulation that reduces heat loss and improves energy efficiency. The heater is rated for sheath temperatures up to 1600°F, enabling rapid heat-up and consistent temperature across the band. Standard insulation thickness is 1/4 inch, with an optional 1/2 inch thickness for higher insulation requirements. Common applications include plastic molding and extrusion, die and nozzle heating, pipe heating, and heat-treating processes that require even heating along the circumference. As part of Big Chief’s ceramic band heater family, the BC10022A is designed to provide dependable, uniform heating on cylindrical surfaces without the complexity of multi-piece configurations for many sizes.
