Industrial CD600 Programmable Logic Controller

SMAR’s Industrial CD600 Digital Controller is a stand-alone, multi-loop programmable logic controller designed to run up to four independent control loops with up to eight PID functions and more than 120 pre-programmed control blocks. It provides 8 analog inputs, 4 digital inputs, 8 analog outputs, and 8 digital outputs, all shown on a 72 × 144 mm front panel with PV, SP and MV indications via an 8‑digit alphanumeric display. Communication is via an embedded EIA‑485 (RS‑485) port for supervision systems and DCS integration, and setup is done with either the Hand‑Held Terminal or the CONF600 software. The CD600 includes a built-in backup station for both analog and digital outputs and a built-in 24 Vdc power supply for up to eight field transmitters. It is offered in AC‑powered configurations, with variants supporting 110 VAC (50–60 Hz) as well as 127/220/240 VAC in spare‑parts configurations. Installation is on a DIN panel, and its physical footprint is 72 × 144 mm with an overall depth around 494 mm and a DC version weighing about 3.14 kg with backup. For programming, it supports a range of pre‑configured control modes—such as cascade, ratio, feedforward, split range, three‑element boiler feedwater control, and distillation‑column control—making it suitable for boiler controls, distillation processes, and other multi‑loop process applications that require reliable, modular automation. The operating environment is specified from 0 to 43 °C with 20–90% relative humidity.
