Beckhoff CX8190 is a compact embedded PC with an Arm Cortex‑A9 800 MHz single‑core processor and an integrated two‑port Ethernet switch, all within a 71 mm × 100 mm × 73 mm package weighing about 230 g. It includes 512 MB DDR3 RAM (not expandable) and a MicroSD card slot with 512 MB included (expandable to 1/2/4/8 GB), plus an integrated 1‑second UPS on the microSD to preserve data during power interruptions. The CX8190 supports Real‑time Ethernet, ADS UDP/TCP, and EtherCAT via EtherCAT Automation Protocol (EAP), with a 100 Mbit/s transmission rate and automatic recognition of I/O connections over E‑bus or K‑bus. It runs Windows Embedded Compact 7 with TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR) and is powered from 24 V DC (‑15%/+20%), delivering a maximum of 4 W (9 W with UPS active) and up to 10 W on the E‑bus/K‑bus line when in use.
