Industrial ER316L Stainless Steel Welding Rod

Industrial ER316L stainless steel welding rod, 1/16 in (1.6 mm) diameter and 36 in (914 mm) long, is packaged in a 30 lb carton as an AWS ER316L filler metal for GTAW (TIG) welding of 316 and 316L stainless steels. This low-carbon filler deposits a corrosion‑resistant weld with typical chemistry of Cr 18–20%, Ni 11–14%, Mo 2–3% and carbon limited to a max of about 0.03%, contributing to improved resistance to carbide precipitation and pitting in welded joints. Common applications include joining 316/316L components in corrosive environments where stainless steel performance is critical, with the 36-inch rods and 30 lb packaging supporting multiple welds before restocking. For best results, use with 100% argon shielding gas and follow standard GTAW procedures to produce clean, sound welds on stainless steel joints.
