Industrial ER4047-0.064 Aluminum MIG Welding Wire

ER4047-0.064 Aluminum MIG Welding Wire is a silicon-rich filler metal for gas-metal arc welding (GMAW) of aluminum, supplied as a 0.064 in (1.6 mm) diameter wire on a 20 lb spool. As AWS A5.10 ER4047, it contains about 11–13% silicon, which provides high fluidity in the molten weld and minimizes hot cracking compared with many other aluminum fillers. This versatility is reflected in its common use to weld a broad range of alloys, including 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 3005, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951, and 7005, making it well-suited for automotive, bicycle, trailer, and structural aluminum components. The silicon-rich composition supports good fill characteristics and crack resistance for both MIG welding and, where specified by the supplier, compatible TIG applications.
