Industrial IOD-72 Digital Input Output Card
Industrial IOD-72 Digital Input Output Card
Description:
ACCES I/O’s IOD-72 is a 72-channel ISA bus digital input/output card for IBM PC/XT/AT-compatible systems. All 72 I/O lines are buffered on the board, and the card supports four- and eight-bit groups that can be independently configured as inputs or outputs. It includes hysteresis correction and 10 kΩ pull-ups on the I/O lines, and provides interrupt and interrupt-disable capability. A +5 V supply is available to the user, with typical board power draw of 350 mA at +5 V and power from the computer bus via a standard 1 A fast-blow fuse recommended. Digital inputs accept a high level of 2.0–5.0 V and a low level of -0.5 to +0.8 V, with input currents up to 20 μA (high) and down to -200 μA (low). Digital outputs can source at least 15 mA while maintaining a high level of 2.5 V and can sink up to 24 mA with a low level below 0.5 V; a 64 mA option is available. The card measures about 7.5 inches in length and is compatible with industry-standard I/O racks such as Opto-22 and Potter & Brumfield. The IOD-72 uses three 8255-5 Programmable Peripheral Interface chips to provide the interface, and supports interrupt signaling with an optional disable. Operating temperature is 0 °C to 60 °C, with storage from -50 °C to 120 °C and 0–90% relative humidity (non-condensing).
