Industrial IS5026 Proximity Switch Inductive Sensor

Piab's Industrial IS5026 IS--FROG Proximity Switch is an inductive sensor that detects metal targets without physical contact, making it well-suited for position sensing in automated equipment. Inductive proximity switches detect metal by generating an electromagnetic field and sensing disturbances caused by metal targets, enabling non-contact operation in dynamic environments. It operates on a 36 V DC supply and draws 200 mA, with a sensing range of 2 m. As part of the IS--FROG family, the IS5026 is designed for integration into industrial control circuits where non-contact metal sensing is required on conveyors, machine tools, robotics, and other automation fixtures. Designed for PLC-based automation, it provides a binary signal when a metal object enters or approaches the sensing range, enabling straightforward control logic for presence detection and interlocks in factory environments.
