Industrial J-Type Armored Thermocouple Thermocouple

The Armored J-Type Thermocouple is an industrial temperature sensor with a mineral-insulated, metal-sheathed (MIMS) element housed in a stainless steel armored sheath for rugged service. It ranges from 0°C to 750°C (32°F to 1382°F) with standard ANSI MC96.1 accuracy and outputs a millivolt thermoelectric signal for direct connection to controllers and monitoring equipment. J-type sensors use Iron-Constantan; junction options include Grounded, Ungrounded, or Exposed (OEM dependent), and mounting can be threaded, compression fitting, or probe-style (OEM dependent). Designed for industrial environments, it is commonly installed in furnaces, ovens, injection molding machines, extrusion and heat-treat equipment, and other process-control applications requiring durable, vibration- and corrosion-resistant temperature feedback. Common replacements include Omega TJ36 Series J Type, Watlow armored J-type thermocouples, and Pyromation J-Type mineral-insulated thermocouples.
