OMRON OS32C-SP1 Safety Laser Scanner is a compact, 270-degree sensing device designed to guard industrial work cells by detecting human presence within a defined safety radius and triggering a controlled stop of linked machinery, enabling safe operation around moving equipment. It provides a 3-meter safety radius and a 10-meter warning zone, with PLd and Cat 3 performance per ISO 13849-1, and it communicates over Ethernet while operating from a 24 V DC supply, making it suitable for integration with modern PLCs and factory networks. The SP1 model uses a side-location cable entry for easier cabinet installation, and the unit itself is compact—about 104.5 mm long and around 1.3 kg in weight—together with a 270-degree field of view that supports flexible safety coverage in tight footprints. Variants include SP1-4M (4 m range) and SP1-DM (EtherNet/IP), providing options for longer ranges or different I/O configurations to fit robot cells, AGVs, conveyors, and other automated machinery.
