Industrial PYDJ-32 TA-3434 Immersion Thermostat

The Barber-Colman TA-3434 immersion thermostat (Industrial PYDJ-32 family) is a rugged, line‑voltage on‑off temperature control designed to regulate media temperatures in tanks, ducts, pipes, and other vessels by immersing a sensing probe into the process, with a 5-1/4 inch probe length specified for this variant. It uses a 1/2 inch diameter helically wound bimetal sensing element and 7-1/2 inches of insertion length, all housed in a beige-painted steel enclosure with a 1/2 inch conduit opening for wiring. The enclosure measures 5-3/8 inches high by 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-7/8 inches deep, and this unit is intended for indoor use (NEMA Type 1). For immersion mounting, the AT-223 accessory is required, and for duct installations a UL-listed extension mounting bracket is provided with TA-3434 components. The setpoint is adjustable via a dial (exact range specified in the manufacturer’s tables), and the thermostat can be mounted in any position on a surface not subject to excessive vibration. This TA-3434 model is suited for dependable on‑off temperature control of heating media in tanks and liquid lines where simple, robust performance is needed at line voltage.
