Industrial R2PBA MAXI-BEAM Photoelectric Sensor

The R2PBA Maxi-Beam Power Block from Banner Engineering is the 2-wire AC-powered output module that completes a Maxi-Beam modular photoelectric sensor system. It accepts 105–130 VAC input and provides a SPST solid-state output in a terminal-style wiring block, designed to be wired in series with the load in 2-wire configurations. In 2-wire operation, sensor heads and power blocks are configured to a fixed response time of about 10 ms, with an output switch to interface with loads or control circuitry and status LEDs that indicate both power and output state. The unit is epoxy-encapsulated for rugged industrial use and is typically rated for wide operating temperatures from -40°C to +70°C depending on installation. Banner’s Maxi-Beam family combines sensor heads, power blocks, and wiring bases into interchangeable modules, and the R2PBA is specifically intended for 2-wire deployments while remaining compatible with the Maxi-Beam sensor heads and amplifiers that support this configuration. As with all 2-wire Maxi-Beam assemblies, care must be taken to avoid short circuits, as a load short can damage the components.
