CalAmp's TC1106-8/A4 ioPOD Adapter is an LMU-4100 GPRS Location Messaging Unit accessory that provides an external serial interface for attaching additional devices to the LMU‑4100. The ioPOD Adapter is a recognized LMU-4100 peripheral that can connect to the LMU’s Host Port or Aux Port, expanding the unit’s external serial I/O options. The LMU‑4100 supports three external serial ports—Host Port, Modem Port, and Aux Port—with only two ports available at a time, and the ioPOD Adapter serves as the pathway for integrating an additional external serial device into the LMU’s communications framework for data transfer and command exchange via the serial interface.
