The Koyo NJ5-18GK-E2 inductive proximity sensor detects metallic targets without physical contact within a 5–8 mm sensing range (model dependent), making it suitable for non-contact position sensing on conveyors, packaging lines, robotic equipment, and assembly processes. It operates from 10–30 VDC with an NPN normally open output (NPN/PNP variants available), supports up to ~200 mA, and responds at roughly 300–600 Hz across a -25°C to +70°C range.
