Mitsubishi Electric Corporation FR-A7AP Function Module

The Mitsubishi Electric FR-A7AP Function Module is an encoder feedback and positioning control expansion card for the FR-A700 inverter series. It accepts A/B/Z phase pulse encoder input with differential signaling and enables closed-loop vector control for precise speed regulation in spindle drives, positioning systems, conveyors, winding machines, CNC spindle drives, and hoisting systems. The module mounts in an internal option slot, is powered by a 5–12V DC encoder supply, and connects to FR-A700 inverters via a dedicated inverter option connector, with spindle orientation control supported for positioning tasks. Common replacements include Mitsubishi FR-A7AL, FR-A7AX, and FR-A7NP.
