Mitsubishi Materials MGMN300-M Carbide Turning Insert

The MGMN300-M Carbide Turning Insert is a double-ended, 3.0 mm wide carbide insert designed for precision grooving, parting-off, and profiling on CNC lathes and turning centers. Made from sintered carbide with a medium-cutting geometry (chipbreaker style M), it supports continuous and interrupted cuts in carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum, and is suitable for 3 mm grooving and cutoff operations. It measures 21.0 mm in length, 2.35 mm thick, and 4.8 mm high, with a 0.4 mm corner radius. It mounts in a mechanical clamp insert system and is compatible with MGEHR2020-3 tool holders and MGIVR2020-3 boring bars, commonly installed in external grooving holders, internal grooving bars, and cutoff tools. The insert provides two usable cutting edges due to its double-ended design, supporting production turning and precision grooving while replacing worn cutting edges in CNC turning and machining operations. Coating options vary by manufacturer and can include TiN, TiAlN, CVD, or PVD.
