Omron ZX-LD40 Photoelectric Sensor

The Omron ZX-LD40 Smart Photoelectric Sensor is an industrial non-contact detector that uses diffuse or fixed-field sensing (model dependent) to detect the presence, position, or passage of objects on conveyors, packaging lines, automated assembly stations, product sorting equipment, and robotic systems. It typically detects up to 40 cm, uses an infrared LED or visible red LED light source, and offers NPN or PNP discrete outputs from a DC supply in the 10–30 V range. A fast switching response, status LEDs for power, signal, and fault, and a rugged IP67 industrial enclosure support bracket or surface mounting in standard industrial temperatures, making it suitable for reliable object detection in harsh environments.
