FX-301 is a DIN-rail-mounted digital fiber sensor amplifier from Panasonic’s SUNX FX-300 family, designed to pair with fiber heads for reliable object detection on manufacturing lines. It is available in two output configurations—FX-301-F (NPN output) and FX-301P-F (PNP output)—and is compatible with standard sensing fibers such as the FD-F7 leak-detection fiber and FT-F93 liquid-detection fiber, enabling dedicated sensing for leaks or liquids. The unit operates from 12 to 24 V DC (±10%), with ripple of 10% or less and typical power consumption of about 960 mW (roughly 40 mA), and it provides a single-channel output suitable for straightforward detection tasks. It features NAVI (New Advanced sensor with Visible Indicator), delivering a visible status indicator to simplify setup and monitoring, reflecting SUNX’s emphasis on easier wiring, maintenance, and installation with fiber-head sensing. Note that FX-301 products have been discontinued with a last-time-buy date of February 15, 2024, which may affect current availability and labeling across NAVI variants.
