Rara Electronics ULV300N Vertical Braking Resistor is a 300W, metal-clad, wire-wound braking resistor housed in a vertical aluminum enclosure designed for rugged energy-dissipation duties in motor drives and other power-electronics applications. This unit is a 100 Ω variant with a dielectric withstand rating of 3,500 VAC (1 minute) and is part of the ULV300 family that also offers other voltage options such as 1,500 V, 4,500 V and 5,400 V for short-duration tests. When mounted on a heatsink, the ULV300 series delivers up to 300W of dissipation (210W in free air), and available resistance values cover 0.1 Ω to 2.7 kΩ for inductive designs or 0.1 Ω to 1.5 kΩ for non-inductive designs, with ohmic ranges from 0.001 Ω to 750 kΩ.
