Raspberry Pi Foundation CM3-16GB Compute Module
Raspberry Pi Foundation CM3-16GB Compute Module
Description:
The Raspberry Pi Foundation CM3-16GB Compute Module is a CM3-class module designed to embed Raspberry Pi capabilities directly onto a custom PCB via a DDR2-SODIMM edge connector. It houses a Broadcom BCM2837B0 quad-core Cortex-A53 processor running at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of LPDDR2 RAM, delivering Raspberry Pi 3-level performance in a compact, solder-down form factor. Storage on the module is optional: the CM3 family includes an on-board eMMC flash device, commonly 4 GB in the standard CM3 configuration, to boot the OS and run applications without an external microSD card. The Compute Module exposes the same broad set of Raspberry Pi interfaces at the edge connector, including GPIO, camera and display interface signals, USB, and Ethernet, making it suitable for embedded, industrial, and digital-signage applications when paired with a purpose-built carrier board. Its DDR2-SODIMM mechanical format supports reliable, production-friendly integration, with a low-profile footprint designed for space-constrained enclosures and enclosure-ready products.
