Raychem E507S‑LS Explosion‑Proof Line‑Sensing Thermostat is a mechanical, line‑sensing control designed for heat‑tracing systems in hazardous locations. It features an adjustable set point from 25 °F to 325 °F (−4 °C to 163 °C) and a SPDT switch rated for 22 A at 125/250/480 VAC, enabling it to control a single heat‑tracing circuit or energize a contactor coil; it can also indicate low‑ or high‑temperature alarm conditions. The enclosure is a lacquered cast‑aluminum NEMA 4, 7, 9 housing with stainless steel hardware and one 3/4 in. NPT conduit hub, built to endure demanding industrial environments. The sensor uses a fluid‑filled silicone bulb with a 9 ft (2.7 m) capillary and 300‑series stainless steel construction, with hazardous‑location approvals including Class I, Div 1 & 2 (Groups B, C, D), Class II, Div 1 & 2 (Groups E, F, G), and Class III. Typical accuracy is ±6 °F (±3.3 °C) with a 2–12 °F (1.1–6.7 °C) deadband and ±3 °F (±1.7 °C) repeatability, while sensor exposure limits span −40 °F to 420 °F (−40 to 215 °C). Overall, its compact 168 × 114 × 102 mm body and rugged construction make it well suited for reliable, code‑compliant heat‑tracing control in hazardous environments.
