Raychem GELCAP-1 Insulating Splice Cover is a compact, three-phase motor connection kit that lets you seal and insulate all three conductors in a single snap-closure cover, rated for up to 600 V with insulation temperature up to 105°C. It is designed for #16–#10 AWG (1.5–5 mm²) conductors. The GelCap uses PowerGel encapsulant to provide a moisture-sealed, easy re-entry joint, and installation requires no special tools beyond snapping the clamp closed. This three-phase kit is intended for direct burial, motor connections, street lighting, and other low-voltage splices in outdoor or outdoor-adjacent environments, where three phase connections can be made in one cover. GelCap-1 kits include connectors and a clear cap to allow visual inspection of the joints. Dimensionally, the assembly is sized to accommodate three small-gauge phase conductors within a single cover, with a nominal cap width around 0.375 in and a total length near 1.0 in for compact installation.
