RDP DR7AC Rail Mounting Transducer Amplifier

The DR7AC Rail Mounting Transducer Amplifier from RDP Electrosense is a single‑channel DIN‑rail signal conditioner for inductive transducers. It provides AC excitation and synchronous demodulation for LVDTs, delivering an isolated DC output that is galvanically separated from the supply by an internal DC‑DC converter. The unit mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail and is compatible with standard RDP LVDT transducers (without integral electronics). It offers selectable outputs of 0–10 V DC, ±10 V DC, or 4–20 mA, and a bandwidth up to 250 Hz. Excitation is available as 1 V AC or 3 V AC, with supply voltage from 9 to 36 V DC and an IP20 enclosure rating. Connections are via screw terminals (4×4 way), and the module supports master/slave configurations in multi‑unit systems to avoid carrier beating. Internal controls include gain and zero adjustments; the front panel exposes a 25-turn span and zero trimmers for convenient calibration, while other settings (excitation frequency, master/slave) are configured internally. For LIN and PY transducers, the DR7AC is compatible when used with two 1 kΩ bridge completion resistors, though it does not provide analogue voltage linearisation for PY.
