RDP Electronics S7AC Transducer Amplifier Module

RDP Electronics S7AC Transducer Amplifier is a DC-powered inline signal-conditioning module designed for standard LVDT transducers (without integral electronics). It accepts a single 12-36 V DC supply (floating) and draws about 50 mA at typical operation; for systems requiring a dual supply, it can run from ±6 to ±18 V DC. The S7AC handles transducers that require AC excitation and synchronous demodulation, delivering a DC output voltage or current suitable for direct input to data acquisition or controls. It offers a 4-20 mA output into a 100 Ω to 550 Ω load, and a bipolar voltage output in the approximate range of ±4 V to ±10 V depending on supply, enabling versatile integration with instrumentation. By locating the amplifier close to the sensor, the inline design minimizes signal loss and preserves signal integrity as it travels to the controller. The S7AC is compatible with most LVDTs from various manufacturers and is widely used for displacement sensing in industrial automation and test rigs.
