Description:

The Red Lion Controls IFMR0036 is a DIN-rail mounted, DC-powered speed switch that accepts a frequency input and drives a single SPDT relay, designed for 9 to 32 VDC operation. The unit can trip on overspeed, underspeed, or zero speed with a user‑adjustable trip frequency from 0.1 Hz to 25 kHz and a programmable minimum response time that optimizes detection for any input signal. Its input circuitry is configurable via three DIP switches (S1–S3) to accommodate sensors with sourcing or sinking outputs and a wide range of signal levels, including a maximum input signal of ±90 V; internal pull-down and pull-up resistors support diverse sensor wiring.LED indicators provide at-a-glance status for both the input signal and relay output, while two external push-button inputs offer control options: one overrides trip detection and holds the relay in the release state when active, the other clears a latched trip when pulled to common. The IFMR0036 uses a universal DIN rail mounting foot suitable for EN 50 022 top-hat rails (35 x 7.5 and 35 x 15) and EN 50 035 G rails (G32), ensuring straightforward installation on standard rails. Safety and recognition come from UL labeling (UL Recognized Component, File # E137808). This model is part of a family that includes AC-powered variants, but IFMR0036 specifically provides a DC supply path (9–32 VDC) with a typical power draw around 2 W and startup current of about 600 mA for up to 50 ms, making it well suited for speed monitoring in motor drives, conveyors, and other process lines where precise speed-based control and alerting are required.
