Red Lion Controls LMPCC000 Logic Magnetic Pickup is a compact, stainless-steel cylindrical sensor that senses ferrous targets such as gear teeth and provides an NPN open-collector output from a 9–30 VDC supply. It contains its sensing electronics inside the housing, delivering a clean digital pulse each time a ferrous target passes by, with an output current capability up to 40 mA. Capable of handling a nominal sensing frequency up to 10 kHz, it is suited for moderate-speed gear trains and similar applications. The sensor uses a 3-pin connector (barrel style) for wiring and its robust stainless-steel barrel housing supports harsh industrial environments, while an operating temperature range of -18°C to 60°C allows use on factory floors, in refrigerated spaces, or in outdoor installations. Common applications include counting gear teeth for speed or position feedback, triggering machine controls on conveyors, and other motion-sensing tasks in automation where ferrous targets are present.
