Red Lion Controls RPGC0051 Single Channel Rotary Pulse Generator

Red Lion Controls RPGC0051 is a single-channel rotary pulse generator (RPGC) that converts shaft rotation into a current-sinking pulse train for reliable shaft-position signaling in industrial environments. It uses a 3/8" diameter stainless-steel shaft and supports up to 200 pulses per revolution (PPR) for high-resolution counting and precise speed measurement, with output frequencies up to 10 kHz. The unit features a wide input supply voltage range with low current draw and a current-sink output compatible with common logic and counter inputs. Encased in a rugged cast-aluminum housing with sealed precision bearings, it is designed for dusty, dirty environments where non-contact sensing is impractical. Note that the RPGC family is an older design and has been replaced by the Red Lion ZCG series in newer products; RPGC models, including the RPGC0051, were discontinued by the manufacturer around 2011.
