Ross Controls 5055B4009 Industrial Pneumatic Silencer

The Ross Controls 5055B4009 Industrial Pneumatic Silencer is a 1/2-inch NPT exhaust silencer/reclassifier designed to mount on the exhaust port of pneumatic valves and related FRL equipment to quiet operation while capturing lubricants from the exhausting air. This model features a polycarbonate bowl and is part of Ross’s standard silencers/reclassifiers lineup; standard NPT-thread variants include 5055B4009 (1/2"), 5055B5009 (3/4"), and 5055B6009 (1"). The polycarbonate bowl is rated up to 125°F (51°C), and replacement bronze filter elements are available as 940K77 for the 1/2" size (and 981K77 for the larger sizes). When installed at exhaust ports, it reduces exhaust noise and prevents lubricants carried by the exhaust from venting into the surrounding environment. Common applications include mounting at valve exhausts in industrial pneumatic systems and within FRL configurations to provide noise attenuation and oil separation at the point of exhaust. The unit uses standard NPT threading and is designed to integrate with Ross air preparation equipment and related silencers in the same FRL family.
