Description:

Ross Controls 5055B5009 Pneumatic Silencer Reclassifier is a compact inline exhaust device designed for direct installation into the exhaust port of directional control valves and pneumatic cylinders. The 3/4 in NPT port size combines noise reduction with exhaust air reclassification, helping to curb lubricant carryover in the exhausted air. This model is the 3/4" port variant in the Silencer‑Reclassifier family; other port sizes are 1/2" (5055B4009) and 1" (5055B6009). The Silencer Reclassifier series is rated for inlet pressures from 5 to 150 psig (0.3 to 10 bar) and supports ambient/media temperatures from 40°F to 125°F (4°C to 51°C). In many installations, it is used within FRL (filter–regulator–lubricator) assemblies as a companion exhaust component to reduce noise while managing exhaust oil and moisture. Some configurations of the 3/4" model include an automatic drain option; if equipped, installation requires the specified drain tube assembly (for example R-00142W or R-00184W), with a torque specification around 55–60 in‑lbs for the drain connection and use of 1/8" OD tubing to a holding vessel. The 5055B5009 is suitable wherever direct exhaust port mounting is desired to quiet and reclassify spent air from pneumatic circuits.
