Ruland CLX-8-8-F is a one-piece, clamp-style rigid coupling that provides a rock-solid shaft-to-shaft connection without keys, designed for high-precision servo drives, machine tools, and other power-transmission systems where exact alignment matters. It uses two 0.5000" bores (0.5000" x 0.5000"), an outer diameter of 1 1/8" and an overall length of 1 3/4", all forged in black oxide steel to withstand demanding industrial environments while maintaining precise bore alignment. The bores are precision honed to be collinear, minimizing misalignment and vibration, while NyPatch anti-vibration coating on the fasteners improves seating, reduces galling, and supports repeated installations with high clamping power. Forged screws exceed ANSI standards to maximize holding power, and installation torque is specified as a two-stage sequence—tighten inner screws to 24.5 in-lb (half seating), then outer screws to 24.5 in-lb for half seating, followed by full seating to 49 in-lb for maximum rigidity.
