Ruland MSP-40-F Clamp
Ruland MSP-40-F Clamp
Description:
Ruland MSP-40-F is a 40 mm bore, two-piece shaft collar in black oxide steel with a 60 mm outer diameter and 15 mm width, designed in a clamp style that does not mar the shaft and remains easily removable and indefinitely adjustable. Manufactured from 1215 lead-free carbon steel and finished in a black oxide coating, MSP-40-F provides strong holding power with precise alignment, and it is RoHS3 and REACH compliant, produced in Ruland’s Marlborough, MA facility. The collar halves are mated throughout manufacturing for proper fit and perpendicularity, with two forged M6 x 18 mm screws tightened to a seating torque of about 16 Nm and a black oxide finish on the hardware. The design delivers a face-to-bore perpendicularity (TIR) of ≤ 0.05 mm, making it suitable as a load-bearing mounting surface or for mounting gears, bearings, or other components on shafts. Common applications include guiding, spacing, stopping, mounting, and precise component alignment on cylindrical shafts, with the Ruland name and bore size stamped on the part for easy identification.
