Schneider Electric 140-CPS-214-00 Power Supply

Schneider Electric's 140CPS21400 Power Supply Module for Modicon Quantum delivers a stable 24 V DC backplane supply from a 20–30 V DC input and is rated for 8 A, designed as a summable unit to back up or extend rack power in Quantum systems. As part of the Quantum 140 CPS family, it can be paired with another compatible supply in the same rack to share load or provide redundancy, with Schneider Electric recommending two power supplies per rack for reliable operation. The unit accepts a 20–30 V DC input and uses an external 5 A slow-blow fuse; it supports a 1 ms hold‑up during power interruptions and exhibits an input ripple of up to 2.4 V (94–189 Hz). The 140CPS21400 is planned for discontinuation on December 31, 2030 and is being replaced by BMXCPS3020 (X80 platform), which provides 24–48 V DC input and up to 31.2 W of output, maintaining compatibility within the Modicon Quantum ecosystem. In practice, this module powers the Quantum rack backplane, CPU, and I/O modules from a dedicated 24 V rail, delivering a concise, modular solution for scalable automation infrastructure.
