The Schneider Electric 140-NOE-511-00 is a one-channel fiber-optic Network Option Ethernet (NOE) module for Modicon Quantum PLCs, enabling MMS communications over an industrial Ethernet link. As part of Schneider Electric's Quantum NOE family, the module provides a dedicated MMS over Ethernet channel that bridges a Quantum CPU with other networked devices, supporting fast, reliable data exchange in automation environments. The fiber-optic design offers immunity to electrical noise and supports longer cable runs than copper Ethernet in harsh industrial facilities, making it well suited for process automation, manufacturing lines, and energy management systems. The NOE 511 variant is configured as a single-channel option, simplifying installation and reducing potential network conflicts in straightforward network topologies.
