Schneider Electric's Modicon Quantum 140DAI55300 is a 32-channel discrete input module for the Quantum PLC family, delivering 32 independent 115 V AC inputs in a 4×8 configuration. Each channel detects high (79–132 V AC at 57–63 Hz; 85–132 V AC at 47–53 Hz) and low (0–20 V AC) states, drawing up to about 11 mA per channel and presenting an input impedance of roughly 12 kΩ capacitive at 57–63 Hz and 14.4 kΩ capacitive at 47–53 Hz. The module provides 1780 Vrms isolation between input groups and the bus, requires up to 250 mA from the backplane, and dissipates up to 10.9 W, with 32 input-status LEDs plus a bus-present LED and a red fault LED for quick diagnostics.
