The Schneider Electric 172JNN21032 Modicon Momentum Serial Link Option Adaptor adds a single RS-232/RS-485 serial port to a Momentum processor via the I/O base, enabling serial communications and a Modbus Plus connection through a 9-pin D-shell interface. Powered from the I/O base, it specifies 5 V DC (±5%), with current consumption around 700 mA at 12 V DC, and includes a lithium 2/3 AA battery for a built-in real-time clock with a 5-year service life and a clock drift of about ±13 seconds per day.
