Schneider Electric 5688 S33579 MDGF SGR Current Transformer

Schneider Electric S33579 external neutral sensor is a PowerPact MDGF/SGR accessory for PowerPact M-, P-, and R-frame circuit breakers. It provides external sensing of neutral current to support Modified Differential Ground Fault (MDGF) and Source Ground Return (SGR) protections by monitoring the current around the neutral conductor rather than through the breaker’s internal coils. The kit includes two neutral sensors, and the MDGF/SGR sensor configuration varies by frame: four MDGF sensors (phases plus neutral) are used for the W-frame and eight for the Y-frame; for SGR, only one neutral sensor is required for the W-frame and two sensors for the Y-frame. An MDGF/SGR ground fault interface module (Cat. no. S48891) is also required for each circuit breaker to integrate the external sensors with the protection logic.
