Schneider Electric 9999SA2 Start-Stop Pushbutton Kit

Schneider Electric’s 9999SA2 Start-Stop Pushbutton Kit is a field-installable control accessory that adds a Start/Stop pushbutton interface to Square D Type S motor starters and contactors in NEMA 1 enclosures. It is designed for NEMA sizes 00 through 4 and is intended for panel-mount installation in Type S assemblies, enabling local start/stop control without replacing the entire starter. The kit includes a pushbutton unit, a wiring harness, a warning label, and a wiring clip (the clip is for hinged-door enclosures only). In addition to Type S devices, the 9999SA2 is compatible with 8903SM and 8903SP lighting contactors in NEMA 1 enclosures, broadening its use for lighting and motor-control applications. For mounting in a NEMA 1 enclosure, Schneider Electric notes that a Class 9999 BLX bracket may be required to secure the control unit. The kit provides a compact, plug-in addition that preserves the original enclosure’s protection rating while delivering local Start/Stop control at the panel.
