Schneider Electric AS-HDTA-200 Rack Backplane

The Schneider Electric AS-HDTA-200, also known as DTA200, is the primary 5-slot rack backplane for Modicon Compact 984 PLC systems, serving as the base subrack that houses a CPU and up to three I/O modules. In a typical 984/A120 Compact configuration, the AS-HDTA-200 is the leftmost backplane on the DIN rail (rack 1), with support for up to three DTA201 expansion subracks and, where applicable, DTA202 expansion subracks to extend I/O capacity, enabling configurations up to 18 I/O slots across the system. The unit measures 142 mm in height, 213.4 mm in width, and 31 mm in depth, and it uses a 30-pin bus interconnect between backplanes to supply power and data to installed modules. As the primary backplane in the Modicon TSX Compact ecosystem, the AS-HDTA-200 provides the mechanical and electrical backbone for the CPU and attached I/O, allowing scalable configurations by adding expansion backplanes as needed.
