Schneider Electric BMECRA31210 X80 Drop Adapter

The BMECRA31210 is Schneider Electric’s EIO drop adapter for Modicon X80 that installs in the main remote rack to provide Ethernet backplane connectivity for Modicon X80 I/O and partner modules. Designed for use with an Ethernet backplane, it supports both Ethernet and X-bus communications across the remote backplane and can time-stamp events with 10 ms resolution for X80 RIO drops when Change Configuration on the Fly (CCOTF) is enabled. Key physical features include an LED status display, rotary address switches for selecting the EIO drop address (00–159), a dedicated RJ45 service port (ETH1), and two device network ports (ETH2 and ETH3). A rear keying pin prevents installation on unsupported backplanes, and the module is rated for IP20 protection with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 60°C. Only one BMECRA31210 can be installed per Modicon X80 RIO drop, and it can also support a BMXXBPpp00 expansion rack; this adapter thus enables both Ethernet and X-bus communications across the remote backplane for a wide range of expert and CCOTF-enabled modules.
