Schneider Electric EL-3 Industrial Control Transformer

Schneider Electric's Square D 9070 Class Type EL Industrial Control Transformer, known as the EL-3, is a 150 VA, single-phase transformer in the 9070 EL family designed to power control circuits from higher-voltage mains in MCCs, switchgear, and OEM equipment. It offers multiple primary-voltage configurations with a common low-voltage secondary of 110 or 120 V, depending on the model. Example EL-3 configurations include 380 VAC primary to 110 VAC secondary (9070EL3D6), 550 VAC primary to 110 VAC secondary (9070EL3D5), and 240 VAC primary to 120 VAC secondary (9070EL3D8), each with a 55°C rise. Some EL-3 variants are shipped with pre-wired leads, such as 9070EL3D3 with 24-inch leads. This transformer powers control devices such as contactors and relays within industrial equipment and is suitable for installation inside control panels or MCC assemblies where a dedicated 150 VA control power source is needed.
