Schneider Electric GV3-P40 Manual Starter and Protector

Schneider Electric GV3-P40 TeSys GV3 Manual Motor Starter and Protector is a three-pole, thermal-magnetic motor protection and control device that provides manual isolation, direct motor control, and thermal overload protection in one compact GV3 frame. Rated for 30 to 40 A and designed for 230–690 VAC systems, it protects AC motors up to about 18.5 kW at 400/415 V (and up to 37 kW at 690 V). The unit uses EverLink terminals for quick, reliable wiring and is intended for DIN-rail mounting in control panels, with a standard 55 mm width for easy integration into multi‑unit MCCs. It integrates a rotary knob operator for manual starting and stopping and features ambient-compensated thermal overload protection with adjustable trip settings. It conforms to UL 508 motor control and protection and to IEC/EN 60947-4-1 and related standards, ensuring safe operation in industrial environments.
