Schneider Electric L2153 Switch

Schneider Electric Telemecanique L2153 is a rugged two-pole limit switch with a cable-pull actuator, designed for severe-duty mill and foundry applications as part of Schneider Electric's L100/300 limit-switch family. It is rated for 500 V and 10 A and uses a DPST-NO-DB contact arrangement with 90/10 AgCdO on copper backing stationary contacts and silver-on-steel backing movable contact, delivering reliable switching under demanding industrial conditions; the unit is built with a cast aluminium body and a metal enclosure, mounted on a base-plate style 2 and wired through screw-clamp terminals (AWG 22...AWG 12). Cable entry is 1/2 in NPT (ANSI B1.20.1), and the device supports left-side actuation with CW/CCW options for lateral approach, making it suitable for conveyor, machine safety interlock, and general automation use where a cable-pull switch is required. It carries an IP rating of IP65/66/67 and is compatible with 600 V insulation and up to 20 A thermal current (20 A AC, 5 A DC) in appropriate configurations.
