Schneider Electric xbtp021 Operator Interface Panel

Schneider Electric’s xbtp021 Operator Interface Panel is a compact alphanumeric operator interface terminal from the Magelis XBT-P family (Manufacturer Part Number XBTP021, XBTP021010). It provides operator input, machine status display, alarm acknowledgement, and parameter entry with PLC communication in industrial automation systems. The unit features a fluorescent 2 × 20 character display and a membrane keypad with 12 function keys, 10 service keys, and a numeric keypad, all powered from 24 VDC and drawing about 10 W. Communication is serial PLC-based (protocol depending on configuration) via a 25-pin SUB-D serial connector and a 9-pin SUB-D printer connector, and it mounts flush in a panel with IP65 protection on the front. Operating temperature ranges from 0°C to +50°C and it carries CE, UL, and CSA certifications. Used on packaging lines, conveyors, process equipment, machine tools, and OEM machinery, this operator interface terminal supports operator control, machine monitoring, alarm handling, and parameter entry; note that the XBTP series has been discontinued, with common replacements including XBTR410 and HMISTO705/HMISTO715.
