Schneider Electric XCS-A703 Safety Interlock Switch

The Schneider Electric Telemecanique XCSA703 safety interlock switch is a metal-bodied guard-door monitoring device with a key-operated turret head and positive-opening safety contacts, designed to prevent hazardous machine operation when guards or access doors are opened. The XCSA703 provides 2 NC and 1 NO contacts with slow-break operation and break-before-make sequencing, and uses screw-clamp terminals (1 × 0.5...2 × 1.5 mm²) plus a 1/2 in. NPT cable entry, all housed in a durable Zamak body rated IP67. Part of the Telemecanique Safety Switches XCS – XCSA family, it is intended for guarding machine guards, access doors, protective enclosures, robotic cells, packaging machinery, and similar automation equipment, and integrates with safety relays and safety controllers to protect personnel and equipment. Certifications include CSA and UL, and common replacements include XCSA701, XCSA702, and XCSE7313.
