Schneider Electric XS212BLPAL2 is a compact M12 cylindrical inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact detection of metal objects in industrial automation. It operates on 12–24 V DC with a 3‑wire PNP normally open output and a 4 mm sensing distance, making it suitable for position sensing and object detection on conveyors, packaging machines, assembly lines, and robotic handling systems. The nickel-plated brass housing is IP67 rated, it comes with a 2 m cable, and the device draws up to 200 mA while switching at up to 1,200 Hz. Common replacements include XS2M12PA370 and XS212BLPAM12.
