Sensor Instruments SPECTRO-3-FIO-JR True Color Sensor
Sensor Instruments SPECTRO-3-FIO-JR True Color Sensor
Description:
Sensor Instruments SPECTRO-3-FIO-JR True Color Sensor is a compact, fiber-input version of the SPECTRO-3 JR color detector designed for fast, true-color profiling of self-luminous surfaces. It uses a 3-color detector tuned to human color perception and supports storage of up to 31 reference colors, enabling precise color matching and rapid color-difference checks via its COLOR GROUP function and L*a*b*-style evaluation. The receiver provides five digital outputs and operates at high switching speeds, with a maximum scan frequency up to 85 kHz; the SPECTRO-3-FIO-JR variant typically runs around tens of kilohertz (about 40 kHz to 60 kHz in specified configurations). Features include spot sizes from 0.2 mm and working distances up to 500 mm, making it suitable for inspecting small features on LEDs, displays, and other self-illuminating objects. Teaching is possible via PC or PLC, and the unit offers RS-232 connectivity with USB or Ethernet adapters available for modern interfaces; the SPECTRO3-Scope software provides color, contrast, and grayscale analysis and even includes a digital oscilloscope function. Built into a temperature-compensated, robust aluminum housing, the SPECTRO-3-FIO-JR can be ordered with fiber-optic frontends for flexible light transmission and a wide range of compatible fiber optics. In practice, it excels at rapid, repeatable color and brightness checks in manufacturing lines, enabling quick pass/fail decisions for color consistency across batches.
