The Siemens 6ES7521-1BL00-0AB0 digital input module for SIMATIC S7-1500 is a 32-channel device (two groups of 16) that interfaces digital field signals such as sensors and switches with a centralized PLC control system. It accepts 24 V DC inputs in the 20.4–28.8 V range, uses Type 3 (IEC 61131) input type, and offers a configurable input delay from 0.05 ms to 20 ms. Two high-speed counter channels support up to about 6 kHz, and each channel draws roughly 2.5 mA.
