Siemens CP343-1 Lean communications processor (6GK7343-1CX10-0XE0) is designed to connect a SIMATIC S7-300 PLC to Industrial Ethernet, enabling TCP/IP and UDP communications, multicast, and S7 communication (server) over the network. It includes an integrated ERTEC 200 two-port Ethernet switch and provides PROFINET IO device functionality, with two RJ45 LAN ports supporting 10/100 Mbps, plus SNMP diagnostics and LAN-based initialization. Physical and electrical specs: a single-width S7-300 module with IP20 protection, mounted on a backplane rail, 24 V DC external supply (the backplane provides a 5 V rail), dimensions 40 mm (width) × 125 mm (height) × 120 mm (depth), and a weight of about 0.22 kg.
