Smar IF302420MA 4-20mA Current Loop Converter

The Smar IF302 is a three-channel current-to-Foundation Fieldbus converter that bridges up to three 4–20 mA (or 0–20 mA) loop inputs to a FOUNDATION Fieldbus network. Each input channel accepts 4–20 mA or 0–20 mA signals (configurable per channel) and transmits their values over FF as Foundation Fieldbus data for digital control and monitoring. The module is powered from a DC supply in the 12–42 V range and comes in a NEMA 4X enclosure, designed for rugged industrial environments. The IF302 is intended to integrate instruments with analog current outputs into a Foundation Fieldbus control system, enabling multiple loop-powered sensors to be read by FF controllers and FF I/O blocks within process automation and industrial facilities; it supports multi-channel current inputs while maintaining FF communication compatibility. Non-incendive operation with Fieldbus/Entity parameters is specified for use in appropriate environments.
