SMC MGPM40TN-50Z is a compact guide cylinder from the MGP-Z series with a 40 mm bore and 50 mm stroke, built around an integrated guide rod and slide bearing to isolate load from seals for stable, guided motion in a small footprint. Weight is reduced by up to 24% and the guide rod is shortened to shave as much as 22 mm from the unit’s installed length, enabling closer mounting to adjacent equipment. The TN (NPT) port thread suits standard piping, and this MGPM40TN-50Z-M9PZ variant includes a built-in M9PZ solid-state auto switch with indicator light, 3-wire PNP configuration, and a 5 m lead, operable on DC 5/12/24 V (DC4.5–28 V). Round-type and magnetic-field-resistant auto switches can be mounted directly without spacers, and the MGP-Z family supports four mounting styles (top, side, bottom and T-slot side) to fit compact layouts. This cylinder is well suited for precise, guided linear actuation in automation equipment where space is at a premium and sensing is required.
